The Dean Hanson Memorial Scholarship Committee awarded eight $1000.00 scholarships this year. Recipients were Whitney Gustafson, Jessica Guynes, Corrisa Guynes, Joshua Hartle, Virginia Jimenez, Ty Koppenhafer, Andrea Tripp, and Alina Umberger. The Luncheon was held on May 15th at the Elks Club, and we had 41 people present. We had a lot of compliments on the food and the speaker from the Pinon Project was excellent!
Jeff Follis, CREN CEO, will be doing a 2-hour training/presentation on Realist on May 22nd at the CARE Conference room at 1480 Industrial Rd. (8:30-10:30 a.m.) This is an excellent program with lots of great features. Please let Denise know if you are going to attend.
New Mandatory Core Standards for Associations was passed by NAR. They will include Code of Ethics, Advocacy, Consumer Outreach, Unification Efforts, Technology, and Financial Solvency.
The annual CARHOF garage sale was a huge success! THANKS to all who showed up to help and for anyone that donated. $700.50 was raised to go toward our grant for next year. Pinon Project was the recipient of $2500.00 this year.
New member orientation will be held soon, you will be notified of the date and time. We have four members that require this: Jason Witt, Koralisa Brengle, Vernon Hoffman, and Jenny Dambert. All members will be invited.
Leila Hanson gave an update on Firewise. She would like to have Becca from Firewise to do a presentation at some point.
We are asking all members to read over the bylaws and policies to see if anything needs changed or any additions are required. We are adding the duties of Personal Assistants to the bylaws and a few changes to policies regarding financials.
Denise has sent out your inventory on lockboxes and keys. Be sure to get this done and returned to her by the end of June.
